Palomo Spain took center stage at the Fourth Universalist Society in New York City, presenting his S/S 2025 collection by Alejandro Gómez Palomo, “All of Heaven’s Parties.” Building on his exploration of sexuality, Palomo pushes boundaries once again, examining lust and desire within a heavenly context. This latest offering goes beyond traditional fashion narratives, diving headfirst into a provocative conversation about the nature of pleasure and its connection to sin.

Drawing from his previous collection, which focused on sexual encounters in garden settings, Palomo now investigates the complex dynamics of human instincts and morality. He asks: why are natural feelings like attraction and desire condemned, and how does the promise of heaven factor into this repression? His runway tells the story of these emotions, unapologetically positioning pleasure and sin side by side.
Palomo’s key inspiration for the collection comes from the photography of Nobuyoshi Araki, who intertwines the themes of bondage and natural beauty. Araki’s daring approach to sexuality resonated with Palomo, providing a path to elevate sex from mere instinct to a considered act of creative expression. Meanwhile, influences from Helmut Newton and the glamorous 1920s shaped the collection’s silhouettes and overall aesthetic, adding a layer of historical richness to the modern narrative.

Textures in the collection bring the conversation to life. Denim, taffeta, and silk organza — all materials rooted in Palomo’s Spanish heritage — return with a twist. Hand-embroidered details and silk fringes tie the collection to traditional craftsmanship, while oversized collars, micro shorts, and bold sequins play with proportion and texture. The palette mixes monochrome with pops of tobacco, purple, and denim blue, creating a visual contrast that enhances the collection’s dynamic nature.
The beauty direction was equally impactful, with makeup artist Marcelo Gutierrez and the MAC Cosmetics team crafting ethereal looks that paired clean skin with striking, feathered accents. Hair, led by Laurent Philippon with support from Redken/Cutler, delivered a polished finish, contrasting with playful ostrich feather wigs by Tolentino Hats. Guests like Bb trickz, Valentina Ferrer, and Violet Chachki were in attendance, adding a notable presence to the event.
Following the runway presentation, Palomo Spain unveiled its latest collaboration with Bimba y Lola. The capsule collection, ‘BIMBA Y PALOMO,’ explored floral motifs and expanded on their ongoing partnership. With see-now-buy-now availability, the collection offered a dynamic mix of daywear and eveningwear, balancing bold prints with delicate fabrics.

Palomo runway is a true standout, and not only because of the all male model casting. I do agree we should not finding anything strange in guys wearing dresses, but also the brand has a massive following among women. Me being one of them!
