Jordan Brand enters the next phase of performance golf footwear with the launch of the Air Rev. Designed with modular technology and focused on delivering targeted control, the Air Rev introduces a new approach to stability and swing efficiency on the course. Set to release on May 14 through official site and selected North American retailers, the model will arrive globally in the months that follow.
The standout feature of the Air Rev is its new Flight Lock system, designed to give golfers a customizable containment setup. At the center of this system is a moveable Air Zoom unit, which slides into a pouch on the lateral side of the trail foot. This modular insert stabilizes that foot during the swing phase, reinforcing energy transfer and foot containment. On the lead foot, Jordan Brand incorporates a Formula23 foam insert for enhanced comfort and balance during follow-through. Together, the two components offer targeted support where it matters most, promoting fluid weight transfer and consistent form.

Flight Lock operates with a dual-function approach: the trail foot responds like a gas pedal, applying controlled pressure to initiate the swing, while the lead foot offers braking power through the foam insert. This system works equally well for both left- and right-handed players. Golfers can move the Air Zoom unit and foam insert to either shoe, depending on their dominant stance.
Additional design elements elevate the technical construction of the Air Rev. A dial-based lacing mechanism allows precise lockdown, while a woven leno strap reinforces stability and responsiveness across the midfoot. Together, these components keep the foot secure and engaged through all stages of the swing, enhancing rotational movement and clubhead velocity.

Underfoot, the Air Rev features an integrated traction pattern informed by pressure mapping. This sole setup responds to the forces generated during each swing, helping maintain grip across varied terrain. A waterproof synthetic upper rounds out the build, providing durability and coverage in wet or uneven course conditions.
The debut of the Air Rev coincides with the release of Jordan Brand’s new golf apparel line. The clothing collection merges archival Jordan silhouettes with modern materials and updated proportions, bridging performance with a refreshed visual identity.

Michael Jordan’s own perspective shapes the tone of the release. “The future of golf isn’t tied to its past,” he said. “Jordan Brand Golf blends performance, innovation and iconic style, building a future where the players, not the past, define what’s next.”
In this direction, the Air Rev moves away from traditional golf shoe formats and presents an alternative built around adaptive technology and modular performance. The focus is on function, personalization, and mechanical advantage, all backed by Jordan Brand’s athletic heritage and cultural imprint.

The Jordan Brand Air Rev will launch on May 14 in North America and is expected to expand to international markets in the following months. Jordan Brand’s new golf apparel will follow later in the summer.
