Willy Chavarria launches his Spring Summer 2025 campaign with América, a project rooted in memory, movement, and purpose. Drop 1 of the collection is now available online. Framed by Chavarria’s consistent attention to emotion and silhouette, América redefines what it means to belong by centering the voices of immigrants, workers, and the communities that shape the fabric of the country.
Fresh from consecutive wins as CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year in 2023 and 2024, Chavarria directs his momentum into a collection that draws power from simplicity and personal history. His newest pieces serve both as fashion and as fieldwork, grounded in experience and charged with relevance.

América unfolds across three distinct narratives: Fine Fashions, Willy Produce, and Community Center. Each one introduces a different language within the same conversation, fine tailoring, practical garments, and accessible uniformity. The garments reflect Willy’s upbringing in Huron, California, where Mexican immigrant labor formed the backdrop to everyday life.
That connection runs deep in this collection, both visually and structurally. From sportswear crafted in premium Italian cotton to lived-in tailoring treatments, the garments offer subtle nods to agricultural life, protest culture, and working-class dignity. Every section of the collection carries emotional weight, designed not for spectacle but for meaning.

Central to the release is a series of washed and structured canvas workwear pieces, finished in neutral tones such as Trigo, Pea Coat, and Pearl. These garments use shaped paneling and articulated darting to sculpt sleeves and knees with purpose, not excess.
Graphic design plays a key role. Tees and caps carry the América logo, ACLU branding, and prints inspired by produce packaging, a tribute to the fields where Chavarria grew up and the labor that shaped his worldview. The visual references double as cultural signifiers, drawing lines between personal history and national identity.

Among the standout pieces in Drop 1 are the Wasco Jacket, Cholo Chino, and Borracho Shorts. Each introduces new shapes into the label’s vocabulary, balancing strength with nuance. In a new direction for the brand, tailored pieces receive washed treatments that soften their form without losing structure, most notably seen in the Box Cutter Blazer and Cascada Trouser.
Accessories also evolve. The Willy Staff Keys, modular key sets designed with carabiners, shift between utility and personal expression. Styled as key fobs or charms, they add versatility and small-scale design detail to a collection built around daily function.

Chavarria continues to prioritize production transparency and craftsmanship. All workwear and jersey pieces were manufactured in Los Angeles, grounding the collection in the community that shaped his youth. Meanwhile, the tailored garments were developed in Italy, drawing from high-quality processes that elevate construction without compromising purpose.
This dual production approach allows the collection to speak in multiple registers: formal and casual, local and international. It reinforces the idea that clothing can reflect identity across materials and methods. With Drop 1 now available, Willy Chavarria invites his audience to experience América, not as an idea but as a reality stitched into every seam.
