adidas Originals and AVAVAV have unveiled the second installment of their ongoing collaboration, bringing together performance-infused design and exaggerated proportions once again. The new drop delivers an unorthodox combination of sportswear and playful irreverence, combining athletic functionality with a subversive sense of humor.

This latest offering continues the dialogue established in their debut collection, pushing familiar adidas silhouettes into new dimensions. Cut-out bodysuits, ultra-baggy sweatpants, puffed vests, and oversized shorts dominate the capsule, with an exaggerated sense of volume and attitude. From athletic fields to urban street corners, the looks are built to stand out without apology.

Signature to the collection is a sense of visual contradiction: technically functional pieces paired with distorted proportions and softened structure. The tops come with sculptural straps and minimal branding, while the voluminous trousers and shorts create a deliberate imbalance. Each look plays with scale, echoing AVAVAV’s viral approach to fashion and adidas Originals’ archive of iconic styles.

Shot in natural light across street-level courts and sunlit parks, the campaign casts athletes and creatives in everyday environments, further grounding the surreal aesthetic in lived reality. With palm trees, metal bleachers, and concrete textures serving as backdrops, the visuals reinforce the idea that boldness can exist within the everyday.
This second collaboration reflects both brands’ shared willingness to explore extremes. AVAVAV’s Beate Karlsson brings a humorous edge to adidas’ athletic heritage, allowing everyday garments to take on a sculptural and performative quality. The clothes are wearable, but never conventional, a core idea carried over from Karlsson’s theatrical runway shows and adidas Originals’ creative archives.

The adidas Originals x AVAVAV collection will be available globally starting May 22, with early access available May 21 in select adidas Originals flagship locations.
