Gentle Monster ’s 2025 “Pocket” collection has officially launched, featuring a collaboration that’s drawing attention for its playful concept and forward-thinking design. Known for pushing the boundaries of eyewear through design and storytelling, the Seoul-based luxury brand has teamed up with Bratz, the beloved fashion dolls who have defined attitude and glam since the early 2000s. The result is a limited-edition frame embedded within a 21-piece core collection, and it’s already gaining traction for its nostalgic yet forward-looking approach.
EYEWEAR
The “Pocket” collection lives up to its name through fold-up silhouettes that open into full-sized sunglasses and optical frames. Designed for both style and portability, these frames compress into sleek forms that fit easily into bags and jacket pockets, without compromising the sculptural edge that defines Gentle Monster’s aesthetic. The range spans from futuristic cat-eyes to pared-down wire frames, embracing versatility while staying rooted in visual drama.
At the center of the launch is the Bratz collaboration: a standout metallic pink and silver frame adorned with star motifs that feel straight out of the dolls’ Y2K universe. Equal parts collectible and wearable, the frame blurs the line between fashion accessory and pop-culture artifact. It’s a nod to the Bratz legacy of bold styling and self-expression, reimagined through Gentle Monster’s architectural design codes.

To celebrate the drop, Gentle Monster released a teaser starring Karina from the K-pop group aespa. In the teaser, Karina appears with striking purple hair against a stark white background, strutting down a minimalist hallway in her Gentle Monster frames. Attached to her bag is a miniature Bratz-style version of herself, also wearing Gentle Monster glasses.

The campaign’s limited-edition packaging only builds on the collectible appeal, featuring a signature Bratz doll alongside miniature versions of the collaborative glasses housed in a stylized display case.
