Australian skateboarder Hayley Wilson introduces her first Nike SB Dunk Low colorway, Court Purple, with a design that brings together functional construction and a deeply personal aesthetic. Launching on June 7, 2025, the release follows her pro debut in 2024 and reflects Nike SB’s ongoing focus on platforming its team riders through collaborative products.
Built for Skating, Defined by Detail
The shoe features a combination of purple suede overlays and black suede across the midfoot, with white leather on the toe box and eyestays for contrast. Black leather Swooshes outlined in white run along the side panels. A translucent blue outsole adds another visual dimension, with graphics visible underneath that include cracked stars and theatrical mask motifs.
UV-reactive thread around the Swoosh and heel tabs shifts in color under sunlight, offering a responsive material element that echoes the movement and energy of skating. The heel is embroidered with barbed-wire detailing, while the tongue and heel tab include branding in gothic lettering and Lagoon Pulse blue. Wilson’s name is featured on the tongue label.

Personalized Aesthetic and Symbolic Touches
Several aspects of the design draw directly from Wilson’s own iconography. The tongue hides her catchphrase “you reckon” beneath the padding. Tattoo-inspired shading, the embroidered barbed wire, and symbolic illustrations underfoot reflect themes seen in her body art. The insole and heel stitching include subtle references to her initials and star sign, rounding out a design rooted in individual references.
Three lace sets with color-contrasting tips offer a layer of customization. Combined with the muted yet expressive palette – Court Purple, Black, White, and Lagoon Pulse – the shoe balances visual presence with functionality.

From Mansfield to Global Platforms
Hayley Wilson grew up skating local parks in Mansfield before establishing herself in Melbourne’s street scene. Her skating style favors ledges, rough terrain, and technical precision. At 15, she became the youngest competitor in the Women’s Street division at the X Games. She went on to represent Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, continuing to build a reputation for skill and discipline.
Her approach to this collaboration matches her skating: direct, detail-oriented, and honest in tone. Rather than chasing trend or excess, Wilson’s SB Dunk Low focuses on small, deliberate choices that carry meaning.

Unique Features Distinguish Her Debut
While the Court Purple base may remind some of archival SB samples, Wilson’s version introduces new ideas that set it apart. The reactive thread, outsole illustrations, personal motifs, and color accents tie directly to her skating and visual identity. Every feature serves a clear function, from structural layering to UV interaction, reinforcing the shoe’s role as a tool for both expression and performance.
