UNIQLO continues its creative partnership with Studio Ghibli through a new UT collection titled “My Dear,” set to release on July 10, 2025. This marks the third edition in an ongoing series that began in February 2022. The new drop includes 14 original designs that draw directly from Ghibli’s distinctive animation style, combined with fresh visual work from collaborators closely tied to the studio’s creative orbit.
UNIQLO will introduce the collection in Europe first, with a special launch event planned to coincide with the release. The retailer aims to use this moment to bring color and imagination to the summer, offering pieces that channel the magic and softness of Studio Ghibli’s most beloved films.

Each item in My Dear presents a different angle on Ghibli’s influence. From graphic prints that recall iconic scenes to delicate line drawings that explore smaller, more intimate moments, the collection draws from the emotional layers that define Ghibli storytelling. Rather than leaning on obvious fan-service or maximal branding, the graphics favor quiet references, letting fans recognize their favorites without reducing them to commercial symbols.
This edition also features work from artist Kanyada Phatan, whose illustrations return after receiving strong responses in the first two collections. Her art brings a gentle, illustrative quality that complements Ghibli’s visual language. With a hand-drawn approach, she softens the line between official animation and personal interpretation.

The collaboration also includes visual contributions from Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki. As one of the studio’s key figures, Suzuki doesn’t just supply content, he provides personal touches that carry meaning for longtime fans of the films. His involvement continues to anchor the collaboration in genuine creative exchange, rather than detached licensing.
While previous UT x Ghibli collections built excitement around major characters and well-known titles, My Dear introduces a softer, more reflective tone. The designs focus less on grand visuals and more on quiet emotion, allowing wearers to carry a piece of Ghibli’s calm, cinematic rhythm into everyday life.

UNIQLO positions UT as its creative format for artist and pop culture collaborations, offering customers access to limited-run designs across accessible basics. The My Dear collection fits neatly into this approach. Rather than releasing seasonal themes based on trend cycles, the Ghibli collaboration moves at its own pace, delivering collections with distinct perspectives and carefully chosen visuals.
Launching July 10 in Europe, the collection will roll out to other markets later in the season. The accompanying event will build momentum for the release, engaging fans and collectors alike through a shared appreciation for Ghibli’s visual storytelling and UNIQLO’s clean format.
