For its fourth collaboration with acclaimed Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen, Zara Home has unveiled a collection that stands apart—not only for its sculptural minimalism and tactile richness, but for the extraordinary setting in which it was revealed. The campaign for the new Zara Home Vincent Van Duysen Collection was shot in the legendary Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Montjuïc, Barcelona, a masterpiece of modernist architecture. This unprecedented choice of location underscores the collection’s architectural gravitas and cements Zara Home’s status as the first fashion brand to launch a home and furniture line with a designer of this caliber.
A Timeless Dialogue Between Design Icons
The Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, originally conceived as the German Pavilion for the 1929 International Exposition, is a landmark in the history of 20th-century architecture. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, the structure is revered for its radical simplicity, open-plan spaces, floating planes, and a refined interplay of glass, steel, and marble. Though the original was dismantled shortly after the exposition, its influence endured, prompting a meticulous reconstruction on its original site in 1986. Today, the Pavilion stands as a symbol of clarity, precision, and the enduring power of modernism.
It is against this backdrop that Van Duysen’s fourth Zara Home collection comes to life, a masterstroke of architectural storytelling. The Pavilion’s rigorous geometry and restrained material palette resonate with Van Duysen’s own design ethos: clarity of form, honest materials, and a pursuit of essential beauty. Here, the campaign becomes more than a showcase; it is an immersive dialogue between two generations of modernist visionaries.
A Collection Defined by Contrasts and Balance
Van Duysen’s latest collection for Zara Home is a study in contrasts and harmonious opposition. As the designer himself shared with us, “When contrasting elements come together, the push and pull between them draws the eye and energizes a space. You see these juxtapositions throughout the collection: the organic with the geometric, dark with light, wood with steel. Opposing forces that ultimately balance one another.”

This philosophy is evident in every piece. Sofa 02, the collection’s centerpiece, embodies effortless versatility. Its modular system allows for endless compositions, while the clean lines and modernist spirit make it a seamless fit for any interior. The tactile warmth of leather seating and an oak framework lend a sense of comfort and longevity, balancing visual clarity with sublime ease.
The new Coffee Table 02 introduces a sharper, more architectural gesture. Crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel, its beam-inspired form reflects light and volume, shifting between assertive solidity and ephemeral lightness. It’s a bold, minimal sculpture that commands attention while integrating effortlessly into a variety of spaces.
Accessories 03, a series of graphic vases, further explore the theme of architectural monumentality in miniature. Each vase stands as an individual statement, yet together, they conjure the elegant grandeur of a city skyline. The rigorous lines are softened by the milky hue of stoneware, maximizing their versatility and inviting both the mind and eye to linger on their subtle details.
A New Standard for Fashion-Driven Home Design
With this fourth collection, Zara Home continues to redefine the boundaries of fashion and interior design. By collaborating with Vincent Van Duysen, whose architectural pedigree and design sensibility are unmatched, Zara Home positions itself at the vanguard of accessible luxury. This partnership is unparalleled in the industry, no other fashion brand has commissioned a home and furniture collection from a designer of such international standing.
The collection’s launch in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion is more than a marketing coup; it is a declaration of intent. It signals Zara Home’s commitment to elevating everyday living through thoughtful design and meaningful collaborations. In an era where the home is increasingly recognized as the scaffolding upon which we build our lives, the collection offers an architecture for living defined by intention, clarity, and enduring beauty.
