Theory unveiled its Fall 2025 campaign and collection, “Made by NYC,” with Emmy-nominated actress Britt Lower and American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Calvin Royal III as the faces of the season. Both talents built their careers in New York, and their presence reinforces the campaign’s focus on the city as muse and foundation.
Theory has drawn inspiration from New York since its founding in 1997. Every garment takes shape inside the brand’s design and innovation center in the Meatpacking District, with each detail developed step by step. This season carries forward that process while reflecting the city’s constant pace. Tailoring remains central but evolves through fresh shapes, new fabrics, and a wardrobe crafted for modern life. The collection balances sharp tailoring with fluid silhouettes, modular layers, and engineered fabrics designed for daily movement.

Women’s looks introduce sculptural dresses, relaxed suiting, and voluminous trousers, while refined knitwear anchors the line. Men’s expands into Motion Wool and Motion Nylon capsules, both designed to adapt to the demands of an active city. Stretch wool and luxurious knits provide comfort, while denim, leather, and cashmere pieces extend the seasonal offering.
Joshua Woods photographed the campaign, with styling by Jasmine Hassett. The photographs feature Britt and Calvin in foundational Theory layers: merino knits, crisp wool tailoring, leather, denim, and cashmere. The mood reflects both the city’s relentless movement and its reflective pauses, showing how clothing supports the lives of those who live within it.

For Britt Lower, the campaign aligns with her personal connection to New York. “New York has truly shaped me as an artist. Understanding that Theory draws inspiration from the city – its architecture and the art of everyday life – means a lot to me. The clothing reflects an elegant minimalism that exudes quiet confidence. To me, it’s the essence of New York,” she explained. Her words tie her own path as an actress to the city that continues to inspire the brand.
Calvin Royal III echoed the sentiment from the perspective of dance. “Like the ballet, Theory is graceful, elegant, classic and precise. They understand the poetry and rhythm of New York. The clothing moves with intention, and as a dancer, that makes all the difference,” he shared.

Theory Global CEO Dinesh Tandon placed the campaign within the larger story of the brand. “Britt and Calvin personify the modern spirit of New York. They’ve made their mark here, and that means something. This campaign is a tribute to creative ambition and the drive to shape culture,” he said. His statement reflects the brand’s ongoing connection to the city and its role in shaping cultural expression.
The Fall 2025 collection is defined as an urban uniform: designed in New York, inspired by its energy, and made to be worn everywhere. The collection is now available to shop in Theory stores worldwide and online.
