PUMA Hoops has joined forces with Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton to release the Hali 1, his first signature basketball shoe. The debut colorway, named Opal, reflects both Haliburton’s on-court creativity and his forward-looking approach to style. For this project, Haliburton collaborated with designer Salehe Bembury, whose distinctive design language shaped the sneaker into a piece that bridges performance technology with a fashion-forward aesthetic.
Haliburton envisioned the Hali 1 as the perfect expression of “luxe performance.” That idea guided the partnership with Bembury, who translated the guard’s vision into a shoe that emphasizes both functional strength and visual character. The design takes cues from Haliburton’s fluid playmaking, introducing curved lines, layered textures, and amplified branding. The PUMA Cat logo appears in an oversized execution, while Haliburton’s personal emblem marks the tongue, reinforcing the personal nature of the collaboration.

The Hali 1 relies on PUMA’s NITRO™ technology, which provides cushioning and responsiveness tailored to professional athletes. Bembury’s approach enhances these technical elements with details that recall his signature style. Textured surfaces and unexpected angles contribute to a futuristic silhouette that delivers equal impact during games and casual wear. The blue Opal colorway underscores this vision, giving the shoe a distinctive identity from the outset of the line.

To expand the launch, PUMA and Bembury developed an immersive concept titled Hali Mart. This activation translates Haliburton’s personality into a surreal grocery shopping environment, playing on his playful approach to basketball and style. The pop-up experience will open in Indianapolis on September 25, 2025, at 901 N Pennsylvania Street. Running from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event will feature appearances by both Haliburton and Bembury. Fans who attend will have the first chance to purchase the Hali 1, with 317 pairs available in honor of Indianapolis’ area code.

Following the exclusive Indianapolis event, the Hali 1 will reach a global audience. PUMA has confirmed that the sneaker will release worldwide on September 26, 2025, priced at $130.
