PUMA continues its collaboration with LaMelo Ball through the release of the MB.05 Crowd Surf, arriving November 7, 2025. The fifth edition in Ball’s signature sneaker line builds on the success of the previous MB.05 World Tour and Voltage colorways, introducing updated technology and a design inspired by fan energy and on-court intensity.
The MB.05 Crowd Surf features a vivid red tie-dye upper crafted from engineered mesh layered with sculpted overlays. Molded barbed wire details trace the exterior, while gold wing straps wrap around the heel as a nod to LaMelo’s recurring design motifs. A molded “1” and skull graphic appear on the outsole, elements that have become distinct markers throughout the MB series. The result is a shoe that captures the visual identity PUMA and Ball have built together over five releases.
Underneath its striking surface, the MB.05 Crowd Surf incorporates PUMA’s NITROFOAM cushioning. This nitrogen-infused system delivers responsive comfort and impact absorption while maintaining a lightweight feel. The shoe’s internal heel cage enhances lateral stability, mesh panels increase breathability, and a high-abrasion tread pattern ensures traction on the court. PUMA constructed the upper with at least 20 percent recycled materials, reflecting the brand’s ongoing effort to incorporate more responsible production practices into its performance footwear.
The color palette combines PUMA Red, Magenta Gleam, and Fluro Orange Pes, reinforcing the model’s vivid presence. Its rounded toe, flat heel, and secure lace closure maintain structure and stability without sacrificing flexibility. The design channels the technical foundation of a performance shoe while giving space for creative detailing that aligns with Ball’s personal style and approach to the game.
