Balenciaga becomes the first luxury house to collaborate with PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG MOBILE, marking a direct engagement with one of the most influential franchises in contemporary gaming. Developed and owned by Krafton Inc., with PUBG MOBILE co-developed by LightSpeed Studios of Tencent Games and Krafton Inc., the franchise has surpassed one billion downloads and maintains top rankings across more than one hundred countries. Its impact positions it as one of the most successful titles in video game history and a central force in interactive entertainment.
This partnership builds on Balenciaga’s previous engagement with gaming, including its own world-building project Afterworld: The Age of Tomorrow and earlier collaborations with major gaming platforms. Through this initiative, the house extends its focus on the entertainment industry, which has grown beyond film and music in shaping real-time digital expression.
The project spans both PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG MOBILE, offering distinct content for each platform. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, launched in 2017, established the battle royale format and built a global community around its large-scale, multiplayer environments. Balenciaga’s in-game content will appear in stages, integrating the house’s visual language with PUBG’s gameplay identity.

Within PUBG MOBILE, players unlock a selection of exclusive Balenciaga looks and items. The Couture Armor look references a 3D-printed dress from the 52nd Couture Collection. Additional pieces draw from the Winter 25 Collection, including a pink corset-fitted puffer, a Standard logo T-shirt, distressed jeans, a super-fitted hoodie, a trompe l’oeil tied sleeve miniskirt and thigh-high stiletto boots. Accessories include a blue fur helmet and piercing-covered bags drawn from the Explorer, Le City and Superbusy lines.

The collaboration moves beyond the digital realm through a selection of physical merch available in select Balenciaga stores and online in Australia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The offering includes a signature-fit faded black T-shirt and cap featuring dark yellow PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, PUBG MOBILE and Balenciaga logos. A bag charm features a mini pierced Explorer Backpack paired with a leather logo-stamped card, translating the in-game aesthetic into real-world accessories.

Balenciaga’s involvement extends into the competitive side of the PUBG universe. During the 2025 PUBG Global Competitions for both mobile and PC, held in Bangkok from December 12 to 14, each player on a winning team will receive a physical Balenciaga bomber. The jacket uses a classic house silhouette and features exclusive hand-stenciled effect graphics created specifically for the event.

The partnership will appear again at PUBG UNITED 2025, the first combined global event uniting PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and PUBG MOBILE. Through this collaboration, Balenciaga takes part in a new type of cultural exchange, placing its design vocabulary inside one of gaming’s most influential ecosystems.
