Denim as a Creative Canvas at Carhartt WIP
Classic, sturdy denim remains a collection cornerstone, showcased in signature pieces like the double-layer Women’s OG Arctic Jacket and the men’s OG Double Knee Pant. These garments highlight the brand’s commitment to durability while embracing a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. A standout for Spring Summer 2026 is the introduction of grind-wash denim, which achieves a faded and lived-in appearance through a meticulous hand-finishing process. This technique gives each piece a unique character, reflecting the craftsmanship behind the collection.
A new hybrid polycotton denim is also featured, inspired by industrial uniforms. This fabric, used in select styles, delivers a semi-lustrous, rigid finish with striking white topstitching. The blend of materials and attention to detail nods to Carhartt WIP’s roots in workwear while pushing the boundaries of streetwear design.

Canvas, Jersey, and Flannel: Earthy and Washed
Beyond denim, the collection expands into canvas and jersey pieces, each treated in dusky hues of burgundy, brown, and gray. These washes evoke a sense of warmth and comfort, ideal for layering as temperatures rise. Flannel shirts in earth-tone checks introduce tactile variety and a nod to classic utility, adding depth to the seasonal palette.
Outerwear in the Spring Summer 2026 collection references iconic silhouettes from the Carhartt archive. The Adair Coat, inspired by traditional fireman jackets, features distinctive metal clip detailing for an industrial edge. The Shepton Jacket pays homage to the classic B-6 flight jacket, blending historic references with modern tailoring. These pieces demonstrate Carhartt WIP’s ability to reinterpret workwear staples for a new generation.

Cultural Influence and Brand Legacy
Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) continues to adapt the core ethos of the original Carhartt brand, infusing each collection with references from diverse cultural spheres. Since its founding in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt WIP has become synonymous with the intersection of workwear and street culture. The brand’s yellow C motif is as recognizable in late 90s hip hop and skateboarding as it is on factory floors. Today, Carhartt WIP’s influence extends from Detroit and Berlin’s music scenes to contemporary art and global skate communities, shaping both its collections and collaborations.
