Cecilie Bahnsen Debuts “Shapes of Poetry” with UNIQLO for SS26

UNIQLO launches its first collaboration with Cecilie Bahnsen for Spring Summer 2026, introducing a capsule that connects the Copenhagen label’s distinct visual language with the LifeWear approach. Titled “Shapes of Poetry,” the collection frames Bahnsen’s design codes through a wardrobe built for everyday use.

SPRING SUMMER 2026

The eight-piece women’s lineup defines the core of the release. Dresses, tops, and skirts carry Bahnsen’s established signatures, including floral motifs, volume, frills, and detailed shirring. The garments work as standalone looks or as coordinated sets, offering flexibility without shifting away from the collection’s direction.

UNIQLO constructs the garments using cotton and elastic fabrics to support comfort and movement. The focus remains on wearability across different settings, with each item designed for repeated use. The approach reflects the LifeWear philosophy, where clothing responds to routine and adapts to the pace of everyday life.

The project also marks Cecilie Bahnsen’s first move into childrenswear. The five-piece girls’ range extends the same visual language into smaller-scale designs, with dresses, T-shirts, and skorts included in the offering. The pieces align with the adult collection, allowing coordinated styling between parent and child. Practical elements shape the childrenswear range, with adjustable waistbands and side pockets integrated into the skorts to support daily use.

Floral patterns, soft volume, and structured detailing carry through each piece, maintaining a clear connection to her established work. The collection translates these elements into garments that fit within a broader wardrobe. In a statement on the collaboration, Bahnsen emphasized her approach to designing garments for everyday life. She noted her focus on creating pieces meant to be worn regularly, aligning this perspective with the principles behind UNIQLO LifeWear.

The Cecilie Bahnsen x UNIQLO Spring/Summer 2026 capsule launches May 21 through selected UNIQLO flagship stores and the brand’s online platform.
