MM6 Maison Margiela and Salomon prepare a new footwear release for Summer 2026, continuing a partnership defined by technical construction and experimental design. Early previews confirm the introduction of a new silhouette named Cross Dust, accompanied by updated versions of the XT-MM6. The project builds on previous releases that established a strong following through hybrid forms and distinct visual codes.

Cross Dust features a covered upper with a pronounced shroud, carrying MM6 Maison Margiela’s numeric marking across the surface. This construction shifts the visual structure of a trail sneaker, introducing a more enclosed and defined exterior. The design relies on a thick outsole and weather-focused materials, positioning the shoe within a technical context while maintaining a clear fashion identity.

Two monochrome versions of the Cross Dust have surfaced in early previews. One appears in an all-black finish, while the other adopts a khaki tone across the entire upper. Both options emphasize the sculptural quality of the silhouette, with the shroud acting as the primary visual element. The sole unit supports this direction with a rugged structure suited to outdoor terrain.

Alongside the Cross Dust, the collaboration revisits the XT-MM6, a model developed exclusively for this partnership. Three new variations expand the silhouette’s presence, offering a broader color range while retaining its established form. Early images show an all-black version, a volt yellow option, and an off-white iteration. Each pair includes MM6 Maison Margiela’s numeric system placed across the forefoot and insoles.
The XT-MM6 continues to serve as a recognizable anchor within the collaboration. Its design reflects Salomon’s performance-driven construction, adapted through MM6 Maison Margiela’s approach to proportion and surface.

Salomon has expanded its list of collaborators in recent years, working with names across fashion and music. Within this context, MM6 Maison Margiela remains one of the most consistent partners, developing a series of footwear designs that attract attention for their unconventional approach. Earlier releases, including hybrid models such as the XT-4 Mule, contributed to the growth of a dedicated audience that follows each new drop.

At the time of writing, neither MM6 Maison Margiela nor Salomon has confirmed an official release date for the collection. Further details are expected as the Summer 2026 launch approaches.
