BAPE builds the design around a recognizable penny loafer shape, then adds overlays that move the shoe closer to sneaker territory. This approach gives the LOAFER STA a more flexible daily function, while the base keeps the silhouette grounded in a polished form. The black and beige colorways give the launch a direct starting point. Black brings the shoe closer to the classic loafer language, making the hybrid details feel more discreet. Beige pushes the material contrasts further, giving the upper a lighter visual quality and a stronger streetwear tone.
The traditional penny loafer base gives the shoe its shape, while sports-inspired overlays add movement and texture across the upper.
