Adidas introduces CRAZYFLIGHT 7, the biggest redesign of the franchise since its 2017 debut. The brand reengineered the model from the ground up for indoor sports where athletes rely on repeated jumps, soft landings, comfort and energy return. Volleyball and handball guide the new version, with adidas building the shoe around cushioning, stability, ventilation and a sharper visual identity.

Matt Fielding, Senior Category Director for Specialist Sports at adidas, says the shoe came from an 18-month deep dive with athletes at every level. According to Fielding, athletes asked for a shoe that could help them jump higher and land softer, while still giving comfort, support and ventilation during intense indoor play. They also wanted a sleek look for both court use and off-court wear. adidas used that feedback to shape details from midsole cushioning to new colorways.

CRAZYFLIGHT 7 introduces a full-length LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole to the franchise for the first time. adidas first used the foam in its record-setting running shoe range, then fine-tuned it here for indoor court demands. The midsole combines LIGHTSTRIKE PRO with an additional layer of LIGHTSTRIKE foam. Together, the setup helps absorb impact during landings and gives a soft, responsive feel underfoot. The shoe also offers greater energy return than CRAZYFLIGHT 6, which makes the update key for repeated jumps and fast recoveries during indoor play.
The shoe features a 3-in-1 Torsion System embedded in the sole. adidas tuned the system for vertical-focused propulsion, with the goal of improving jump height and take-off power. The same structure helps lateral stability during explosive multi-directional play, giving athletes support during quick changes and landings.

A breathable mesh upper works with an integrated midfoot window, allowing cold air in and hot air out during play in hot indoor arenas. The minimal construction gives the shoe a lighter feel and supports agility. A reinforced heel collar adds locked-in stability and helps support the ankle during sharp directional changes and landing phases.
CRAZYFLIGHT 7 introduces a new visual direction for the franchise. adidas uses advanced materials and signature details influenced by its basketball line-up. The exposed torsion system changes from an internal mechanism into a visible design feature, placing one of the shoe’s key technologies on display. The first release arrives in Tech Grey with vibrant Solar Turbo accents.

adidas will offer CRAZYFLIGHT 7 in two versions. The mid-cut version targets volleyball players and retails for €160. The low-cut version targets athletes looking to take their game further and retails for €150. Both versions launch this June through selected retailers and adidas.com.
A wide group of professional indoor sports athletes will wear CRAZYFLIGHT 7 this season, including volleyball players Kamil Semeniuk, Bathelemy Chinenyeze, Magdalena Stysiak, Harper Murray and Lexi Rodriguez, along with handball players Thibaut Briet, Elohim Prandi, Lena Grandveau and Nora Monk.
