adidas introduces the Samba Mule “Fur-Lined,” a winterized version of the familiar low-profile football shoe that targets cooler conditions. The new model keeps the narrow shape of the original indoor soccer silhouette while changing its structure, materials and purpose for fall wear.

The design turns the Samba into a backless lifestyle shoe with a relaxed, slipper-like character. adidas removes the enclosed heel and opens the rear section, creating a shape that users can step into quickly. This construction shifts the sneaker away from its traditional format and gives the Mule a more casual role within the brand’s footwear lineup.
Soft, textured suede forms the upper and gives the shoe a heavier appearance than the standard warm-weather version. The material supports the seasonal direction while preserving the clean profile that defines the Samba. Panels follow the familiar lines of the original design, allowing the revised model to remain recognizable despite the open heel and thicker interior.
A dense faux fur lining introduces the main cold-weather update. The lining covers the inner collar and extends beyond the open heel, which makes the insulating layer visible from the outside. This detail strengthens the slipper-like quality and brings additional texture to the silhouette. It also gives the Mule a fuller shape around the foot. adidas adds another point of difference through a dual-layer lace system. Traditional flat laces sit beneath thicker rope laces that reference outdoor footwear. The two sets cross the midfoot together and create a more substantial arrangement across the suede upper.
Contrasting Three Stripes run along the side panels and preserve one of the silhouette’s most recognizable features. Contrast stitching defines the panel edges and makes the construction easier to read against the earth-toned suede. A gold-foil logo appears on the lateral side and adds a polished accent to the otherwise rugged material combination.
Underfoot, adidas uses a dark gum-style rubber sole. The deeper tone supports the fall palette and grounds the lighter textures above it. Its color works with the suede upper, faux fur lining and layered laces, creating a compact design centered on brown and earth-toned shades.
