adidas Originals and SP5DER return with their first head-to-toe football-inspired collection, led by the debut of the F50 Formotion SP5DER. The release arrives during a major summer of football and brings SP5DER’s punk attitude into adidas Originals footwear, apparel and accessories. The collaboration follows the SP5DER Supermodified Superstars released earlier this year and shifts the focus to a new silhouette created for adidas Originals.
SPORTSWEAR
The F50 Formotion SP5DER turns the adidas football cleat into a modern runner. The sneaker brings together adidas Formotion tooling, first created for running, and an upper inspired by the Adizero F50 III cleat. That mix gives the shoe a link to two sports, then places the result in a streetwear context. The retro-inspired design features a silver zig zag mesh upper, leather overlays, pink accents, a lenticular badge, a SP5DER graphic on the heel and a metal hangtag.
The footwear launch anchors a full football-inspired range. The apparel includes a football jersey with a vinyl SP5DER logo on the front chest and a web graphic on the back. Matching shorts continue the kit reference, while a track top and track pants add rhinestone Three Stripes and SP5DER logos. The accessories complete the release with custom SP5DER goalkeeper gloves and a cap finished with rhinestone Three Stripes down the middle.
The collection uses football as its main visual language, but its details come through SP5DER’s streetwear identity. Silver mesh, pink accents, rhinestones, web graphics, vinyl branding and metal hardware give the range a sharp contrast between sport equipment and fashion styling. The F50 Formotion SP5DER carries the clearest connection to performance design through the Adizero F50 III reference and Formotion sole, while the apparel builds a full look around jersey, shorts, tracksuit pieces and football accessories.
Lamine Yamal fronts the content for the launch. The visuals place the football star in a fictionalized locker room as he gets ready. adidas Originals and SP5DER present him as composed, expressive and confident, using the imagery to frame a new blueprint for soccer stardom. His presence connects the collection to the FIFA World Cup 2026 and gives the release a direct link to the game’s rising generation.
The adidas Originals with SP5DER collection begins with a pre-launch on June 26 through KINGSP5DER.com. The global launch follows on July 1 via the adidas CONFIRMED app, select retailers and select adidas stores.
