Adidas has joined Houston lifestyle boutique and cultural hub The Better Generation for the Grassroots Predator Sala. Creative Andu helped shape the collaboration, which connects culture, fashion, community and international exchange through fútbol. The project begins at a local level and examines how creative ideas can link people in different cities and cultures.

The concept draws from the belief that meaningful growth begins within local communities. The Better Generation and Andu use creativity, ambition and self-expression as common values, with Houston’s cultural diversity informing the project alongside Andu’s international perspective. Style, storytelling and fútbol provide the common language.

The Predator Sala design translates those ideas into specific visual details. Contrast stitching on the upper follows longitude and latitude lines, recalling the structure of a globe and the networks that connect cultures, communities and ideas. The color palette traces a process of growth. Earthy shades refer to grit, struggle and the foundation behind a creative pursuit. Vibrant green suede signals opportunity, progress and flourishing success.
Foundation, growth and transformation guide the release. The design presents personal development through a wearable form and recognizes individuals and communities that continue to build from the ground up. Each pair carries an individual number within a run of 1,248. That figure matches the number of players who will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, linking the limited edition to the project’s international theme.

The Better Generation also worked independently with 26 creators, who produced a series of collectibles in three product tiers. The number refers to the 26-player roster and the idea that every individual contributes a distinct story to a larger collective experience. Through this initiative, the retailer extends the collaboration beyond footwear and gives multiple creators a part in its presentation.
Brandon Davis, owner of The Better Generation, describes community connections as a continuing priority for the Houston retailer. He views the adidas and Andu collaboration as an expression of culture’s ability to unite people. His comments place the focus on the people, relationships and creative energy that shape Houston.

Andu also frames “Grassroots” around connection and locally rooted development. He explains that every city, culture and community carries its own story, while each form of growth starts with a foundation. Houston’s culture of building from the ground up informed his approach, together with the links that bring people from different places into a shared project.
adidas and The Better Generation support the release through community-led experiences in Houston. An influencer-led stadium activation took place at Houston Dynamo FC on June 6, bringing creators and cultural voices into a matchday setting that joined sport and storytelling.

Programming continues on June 20 with a morning soccer tournament at Revolution Soccer Complex. An in-store launch follows with a penalty kick competition, jersey customization and a watch party. The Better Generation will offer the Grassroots Predator Sala exclusively through its retail locations and shopbetter.com on June 20. Prices range from $135 to $299.
