Justin Bieber is considering a new direction for SKYLRK: a smartphone. The artist shared the idea on X and Instagram, writing, “i wanna make a SKYLRK phone,” before adding that he hoped to “bring it to life together.” He also included an email address for anyone interested in contributing to the project.

The concept remains at an early stage, with no design, specifications, release date, or manufacturing partner announced. Still, the idea follows SKYLRK’s recent expansion into technology and accessories.
Since its launch, the brand has developed beyond its initial focus on apparel, footwear, and eyewear. SKYLRK has introduced audio equipment, phone accessories, portable chargers, and speakers while continuing to build its ready-to-wear and sneaker categories.
Earlier this summer, the brand staged its first New York City pop-up, where it presented phone cases alongside portable chargers and speakers. Those releases suggested a broader interest in consumer technology, making Bieber’s phone proposal a logical extension of SKYLRK’s current direction.
The potential smartphone also arrives as Bieber continues to develop the brand’s footwear offering. This week, he presented the upcoming SKYLRK Sensory Runner, a sneaker he says has been in development for four years. A release date has yet to be confirmed.

The Sensory Runner follows the SKYLRK Matter Daddy and contributes to a growing footwear category built around the brand’s recognizable design language. At the same time, SKYLRK’s recent tech products indicate that Bieber is looking beyond traditional fashion categories as he develops the label.
A SKYLRK phone would represent the brand’s most ambitious technology project so far. Unlike cases, speakers, or charging accessories, a smartphone would require a far more complex development process involving hardware, software, manufacturing, distribution, and long-term support.
For now, Bieber appears to be testing interest and inviting potential collaborators into the conversation rather than announcing a finished product.
The proposal nevertheless gives a clearer picture of how he sees SKYLRK evolving. The brand is increasingly operating as a wider creative platform rather than remaining confined to apparel and sneakers, with technology becoming a more visible part of its output.
Whether the SKYLRK phone progresses beyond the idea stage remains to be seen. Bieber’s public call suggests he is actively exploring the possibility and looking for partners capable of helping turn the concept into a working product.
