Details from his upbringing, such as small coffee flowers used as buttons, added sentimental depth to the pieces. These elements, combined with references to Latin America’s rich cultural history, turned everyday symbols into meaningful design features.

The collection took cues from Mexican surrealist painter Remedios Varo, whose ethereal works inspired the textural complexity and sculptural forms seen throughout. Charro tailoring was reimagined to introduce structured yet fluid silhouettes, blurring the lines between masculinity and femininity. Volume played a defining role, with exaggerated shapes contrasting against delicate embellishments and intricate fabric treatments. Movement and transformation were central themes, as garments shifted in appearance depending on light and perspective, reinforcing the collection’s exploration of alternate realities.
