Ray-Ban and A$AP Rocky introduce the Wayfarer Puffer, a new design that transforms the brand’s most recognizable frame. Built with inflated, sculptural forms, the Puffer distorts the familiar silhouette through Rocky’s lens – a fusion of uptown grit, runway codes, and visual experimentation. Announced with a campaign shot on the streets of Harlem, where Rocky grew up, the launch channels a specific sense of style shaped by environment, art, and identity.
The Wayfarer Puffer is the first product of Rocky’s official partnership with Ray-Ban as Creative Director of Ray-Ban Studios. From the outset, the design was imagined as a reinterpretation of the familiar, reworked through inflated proportions and amplified color. The campaign features artists and locals from Harlem cast by Rocky himself, presenting the Puffer in a raw, self-defined setting. Each image captures a layered sense of influence – personal, geographical, and generational.

The design had an early preview during the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP Rocky arrived wearing a custom, handcrafted edition of the Puffer. That unique piece was made in Italy, outfitted with an oversized 18-karat gold logo, diamond-set rivets, and other precious materials. It shifted attention from classic formalwear accessories to something sculptural and off-format. In May, Rocky hosted a yacht party at the Cannes Film Festival, where the Puffer made another public appearance. From red carpets to open water, it introduced a new kind of fashion-forward eyewear.

Now officially available, the collection includes a range of color options, each with its own character. The black edition offers a sharp, monochrome take on the inflated silhouette, staying closest to the original while expanding its proportions. The red version adds a surge of intensity, positioning the frame as a core accessory for expressive styling. In white, the Puffer takes on a clean, futuristic edge – striking in contrast and sharp in shape. The blue variation grounds the series with a deeper hue, balanced between classic cool and sculptural exaggeration.

The collection also includes pink, which channels playful energy through the volume of the frame, and green, which shifts the tone toward something fresher, punchier, and more experimental. A standout among them, the yellow frame brings full color saturation into play, charged with vibrancy and visual heat. Each piece carries the Wayfarer DNA, but with the volume turned all the way up.

The Wayfarer Puffer arrives as a form of rethinking, less about reissue and more about material reinvention. Through Rocky’s collaboration, Ray-Ban enters a new design space – where cultural references meet off-beat construction. The result is a frame that feels personal, saturated with references, and confident in its shift away from minimalism.
