Balenciaga launched its Winter 25 Campaign with a series of visuals by Juergen Teller, who collaborated with his wife and creative partner, Dovile. The project revisits Teller’s earlier photo series “The Clients,” using it as a framework to present Balenciaga’s couture clientele through a modern lens.
The campaign takes place inside a hotel in Biarritz, where Teller captures Brand Ambassadors Nicole Kidman and Isabelle Huppert, supermodel Claudia Schiffer, actors Patrick Schwarzenegger and Arthur Chen, and models Liu Wen, Adut, and Roxane. Each person appears in different corners of the hotel: suites, stairwells, and salons, while dressed in key pieces from the Winter 25 Collection.

The visuals focus on contrast and immediacy, emphasizing the tension between the ornate interior and the fashion-forward pieces. Each frame carries a sense of deliberate imbalance, creating images that feel charged and direct. The framing avoids glamour, instead drawing attention to presence, texture, and the structure of the garments.

The Winter 25 Collection spans a wide range of clothing styles and includes selections from the Balenciaga | PUMA collaboration. Teller’s subjects wear pieces that show the versatility of the collection, while the location provides an elaborate setting that complicates and enhances the garments.
A supporting video directed by Teller accompanies the photo campaign. In it, the photographer offers voice-over commentary as he explains his creative process and approach to building images. The video expands the visual message by including his own reflections, adding context to the choices behind the scenes.
Several new handbag designs appear in this campaign: waxed-suede versions of the Rodeo Handbag and Le City Bag, the Carrie Carry-All Bag in sesame, the Le City Bag in aviator shearling, and a pink croc-embossed Rodeo Handbag. Each item features bold texture and color choices that enhance their visual impact in still form.

The footwear lineup adds more range to the collection. The Shibuya Pump mixes satin construction with athletic elements in a classic pump shape. The Hamptons Sneaker and the Bel Air Flat Ballerina offer alternative silhouettes and material combinations that expand the overall offering of the season.
With this campaign, Balenciaga focuses on visual power through design, photography, and location. Teller and Dovile guide the creative direction with their own aesthetic language, one that uses familiarity and unpredictability together. The hotel’s refined setting offsets the directness of the wardrobe choices, while the cast delivers a range of presence and tone that reinforces the campaign’s perspective.
