Pharrell Williams and adidas will launch a new silhouette, the Adistar Jellyfish Orange, on August 15, 2025. The sneaker will retail for $300 and be available through adidas.com, the Confirmed app, and select retailers.
The Adistar Jellyfish is based on the adidas Adistar Cushion 3 and integrates visual components from the Response CL. Pharrell altered the structure with a translucent orange TPU cage over an off-white mesh base. Olive-gray inserts frame the midfoot, and black Three Stripes branding runs along the side. A reflective adidas logo appears on the heel.
The first public sighting of the model occurred in January 2025, when Pharrell wore it during Paris Fashion Week. He was photographed wearing early versions in off-white and orange while arriving at shows. The sneaker appeared again on June 26 at Jah Jah Studio in Paris, where adidas hosted a release event. Visitors lined up outside the venue for access to limited pairs of the Jellyfish in both grey and orange. The event included a performance by Clipse and marked the sneaker’s first retail release.
The “Orange” version features details tied to Pharrell’s background. A stylized “Jellyfish” graphic is printed on the tongue, as well as “Virginia,” a reference to his home state. The shoe uses exaggerated overlays and layered paneling in place of traditional color blocking. The structure emphasizes contrast between the sculpted TPU cage and the textile underlay.
Pharrell has worked with adidas since 2014, previously redesigning models like the Stan Smith and NMD Hu. The Adistar Jellyfish introduces a new silhouette rather than a variation on an existing one. Pharrell was directly involved in shaping the proportions of the shoe during development, expanding structural elements to shift the overall profile.
Additional colorways have surfaced, including black and royal blue editions shown during Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2026 show. These versions have not yet been assigned release dates.
The adidas Adistar Jellyfish Orange will launch globally on August 15 in limited quantities.
