Travis Scott brings the MUZM X-Metal Juliet back into circulation through a special-edition release from Oakley. His first initiative as Chief Visionary positions the model as a key revival and reconnects the eyewear brand with one of its most radical innovations. The return gives the silhouette a defined role in the next phase of Oakley’s direction.

The Juliet returns with an intricate construction built from a 25-piece assembly that combines X-Metal and art through detailed engineering. The frame forms naturally around the skull, supported by an adjustable structure, temple shocks, and interchangeable nosebombs. Oakley forges the frame from a liquid metal titanium alloy under extreme conditions. The process establishes the density, responsiveness, and surface character that shaped the original X-Metal identity. The contoured orbitals meet pure Plutonite Prizm Polar lenses, which retain the precise geometry associated with XYZ Optics.

MUZM functions as a platform for Oakley’s legacy of disruption and the era-defining concepts that shaped its past. The program searches the archives for key designs that carry significant relevance and renews them through current innovations. MUZM frames the Juliet as a return to a moment that defined Oakley’s approach to engineering. Each drop within the program aims to elevate the physics of design into art, and the updated Juliet places this direction into clear focus.

Every pair arrives with a collector’s coin that carries an individual serial number, reinforcing the release’s status within the collector community. The hyper-limited nature of the drop aligns with the rarity that has long followed the Juliet model. Brian Takumi, VP, Brand Soul & Creative, notes, “X-Metal is one of the best manifestations of the Oakley philosophy and creeds. Especially the early versions. Juliet certainly lives up to those from design, R&D and manufacturing.”

The Oakley MUZM X-Metal Juliet Prizm Ruby Polar will be available through a launch day raffle at the Oakley Japan Shibuya store. The controlled distribution underscores the exclusivity of the drop and directs all focus toward the limited nature of the release.
Oakley and Cactus Jack will also introduce two additional editions, Prizm Violet Polarized and Prizm Snow Black, as part of a friends-and-family allocation. These editions celebrate the brand’s Tokyo takeover and Scott’s recent appointment as Chief Visionary.

The brand signals that this revival marks the beginning of a broader plan, with more exclusive drops scheduled for future phases.
