
The official trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms introduces a new chapter set within the world of Westeros. The six-episode half-hour drama series premieres on 19 January through HBO and HBO Max as well as through Sky and streaming service NOW, with episodes airing weekly. The story takes place a century before the events of Game of Thrones and follows two characters whose paths intertwine during a formative period in Westerosi history.

Ser Duncan the Tall takes the lead as a young knight who relies on instinct, courage and a clear sense of purpose. Egg, his small but quick-witted squire, travels with him through a kingdom shaped by the Targaryen line. The Iron Throne remains under their rule, and the memory of the last dragon still lives among those who witnessed its presence. Their journey places them in contact with powerful allies and unpredictable adversaries, each shaping the challenges that define their partnership.



Peter Claffey appears as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, and Dexter Sol Ansell plays Egg. Daniel Ings joins the cast as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, with Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen and Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree. Sam Spruell portrays Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas appears as Raymun Fossoway, and Finn Bennett plays Aerion Targaryen. Edward Ashley appears as Ser Steffon Fossoway, with Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Henry Ashton as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Plummer and Daniel Monks as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.



George R. R. Martin serves as Co-Creator and Executive Producer, working with Ira Parker, who serves as Co-Creator, Showrunner and Executive Producer. Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis join the production as Executive Producers. Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith direct the season.
