
Amazon MGM Studios has started production on the Tomb Raider series for Prime Video, unveiling a first-look image of Sophie Turner as Lara Croft. The series adapts the renowned video game franchise that chronicles the adventures of the daring archaeologist and explorer.

Turner leads the ensemble cast alongside Martin Bobb-Semple as Zip, Lara’s tech expert and friend; Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay, Lara’s uncle; and Bill Paterson as Winston, the Croft family butler. Additional characters for the series feature Jack Bannon as Lara’s pilot Gerry; John Heffernan as government official David; Celia Imrie as British Museum fundraiser Francine; Paterson Joseph as senior official Thomas Warner; Sasha Luss as rival Sasha; Juliette Motamed as curator Georgia; Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, a mysterious benefactor; and August Wittgenstein as Lukas, an illegal raider with a shared past with Lara.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, known for Fleabag, serves as creator, writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. She collaborates with Chad Hodge, who joins as co-showrunner and executive producer. Jonathan Van Tulleken contributes as director and executive producer.
The series draws on contributions from Amazon MGM Studios, Crystal Dynamics, Wells Street Films, Story Kitchen, Legendary Television, and individual executive producers including Jenny Robins, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, Timothy I. Stevenson, and Michael Scheel. Matt McInnis and Jan R. Martin co-executive produce.
