Zhou Guanyu Joins Tommy Hilfiger as Global Ambassador

China’s first Formula 1 driver brings motorsport style to the Tommy family

Tommy Hilfiger names Zhou Guanyu its newest TOMMY HILFIGER Global Brand Ambassador, bringing China’s first Formula 1® driver into the Tommy family. The appointment links Zhou’s racing career, personal style and international profile with the brand’s ongoing focus on fashion, sport and entertainment.

The announcement follows TOMMY HILFIGER’s partnership with the Cadillac Formula 1® Team, where Zhou serves as Reserve Driver. The brand also acts as Official Apparel Partner for the team, giving the ambassador role a direct connection to its motorsport presence.

Zhou joins TOMMY HILFIGER as one of motorsport’s influential contemporary voices. He made motorsport history as the first and only Chinese driver to compete full-time in Formula. After a standout junior career where he finished third in the 2021 Formula 2 Championship, Zhou stepped up to F1 with Alfa Romeo (later Sauber), scoring points on his debut at the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix. Following three consistent seasons on the grid, he transitioned into premier development roles, serving as a reserve driver for Scuderia Ferrari in 2025 before joining the newly formed Cadillac F1 Team for their inaugural 2026 campaign. His profile reaches younger, style-aware fans who follow racing through performance, image and culture.

Tommy Hilfiger described Zhou as a new-generation talent with influence that reaches far beyond the racetrack. He pointed to Zhou’s confidence, individuality and authenticity, and said he looks forward to seeing Zhou bring that modern perspective to the brand’s “Prep Made Current” vision.

Zhou described fashion as part of his DNA and called clothing an entire language. He said style gives people a chance to tell their story without words. He also credited Tommy Hilfiger with helping show the personality beyond the helmet and opening space for individuality inside motorsport. Zhou added that he feels proud to represent the brand on and off the track.

The appointment places Zhou within a long line of sporting figures linked to TOMMY HILFIGER. Previous ambassadors include Lewis Hamilton, Checo Pérez, Rafael Nadal and Thierry Henry.

The partnership also arrives as motor racing continues to gain global popularity. For TOMMY HILFIGER, Zhou offers a direct link to fans who see Formula 1® as both sport and cultural platform. His ambassador role gives the brand a contemporary motorsport figure who can carry its fashion message through racing events, personal appearances and public style.
