Month ago, in the last days of Paris Fashion Week, Sonia Rykiel presented her S/S 2009 collection which was much more than just a presentation of a new season, it was 40 years since Sonia got in the fashion biz, and a mark of her birthday at the same time. Besides a number of looks pointing out evolution of Sonias work sent to start the show, as a special surprise gift 30 top designers of today showed 30 looks made with Rykiel in mind, which was more than a surprise on an event that was already set to be the most fun fashion show of the season. Today the Rykiel house is run by Sonias daughter Nathalie, the label is of course still faithful to the stripes pattern which never falls out of fashion, but only on their designs.
