Event: Belgrade Design Week 2009.

From May 26th to 31st, will be held Belgrade Design Week 2009 in the former shopping mall Robna Kuca Kluz on Masarikova Street – itself a regional icon of the Yugoslav trade and sales industry. This year’s speakers include Tony Chambers from Wallpaper, architects Jurgen Mayer, Wolf D. Prix and Ben Van Berkel, designers from Danish studio MUUTO, Mario Nanni from Viabizzuno, Branko Lukic, a designer from Serbia working in San Francisco, directors of world famous branding and advertising studio POKE London, Pentagram and Airside.
Under the title SPEED2, this year’s design week has as its focus the rapid changes we have seen in the world of business over the past months and the solutions that can be found for the industry. The conference will, as always, be presenting the most groundbreaking thinkers to speak on their most creative and innovative ideas, showing how their expertise can be made to work for your business or product as it has for theirs. It was our first visit to Belgrade and the Belgrade Design Week, but it will not be our last.
The design world is about creative and passionate people, not about the location or the colour of your passport.
