Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron stars in new Christian Dior J’adore‘s 2016 fragrance campaign captured by fashion photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino. Charlize has been the face of J’adore advertisements since 2004.
“Today I can confirm that the planets were aligned for the making of this film. From its conception to the filming where, despite the harsh conditions, everything went off perfectly. The sun, the wind, the sky … Nature spoiled us, we’ve not had any disappointments. Around 6:15pm, every evening, when the light would finally be perfect, it was like a mystical experience!” Jean-Baptiste Mondino on making the campaign.

The woman who has been the face of the shimmering fragrance for over twelve years recognizes herself in this evolution. “What we wished to do with this campaign was to show the influence that authenticity and the elements can have on our emotions,” the star explains. In a nude-colored asymmetric dress with a plunging back, the curves of her sculptural and elegant silhouette are enhanced by the hand embroideries, composed of thousands of beads, sequins and rhinestones. On her feet, her gladiator sandals graciously enlace her ankles and, as the only accessories, an accumulation of golden bangles encircle her wrists.” – From Dior
