In charge of styling was Camilla Nickerson, with art direction from Giovanni Bianco & GB65, and production by Sylvia Farago LTD Production. Beauty is work of hair stylist Duffy and makeup artist Diane Kendal.
“A being, caught in the act of creating its own reality. Marni fall/winter 2017 advertising campaign is an exercise in balance – the search for it, and its dismissal. Fragmentary yet solid, the Marni woman explores the many facets of her being, abandoned in a timeless landscape where the mutability of light accompanies the fluidity with which her personality takes shape.
Using the magic of digital illusions, the artist, Michael Hauptman, immortalises the model in impossible poses, where the only thing she can hold onto is herself. It is an illusion that emphasises her strength, an error that celebrates her beauty.“
