Italian brand VI?EN presented their Fall Winter 2021.22 Collection that fuses tailoring and contemporary streetwear to bring comfortable looks, with a fashion film at the recently finished digital Milan Fashion Week. Designer Vincenzo Palazzo explores new uniform for running – suits with same functionality as technical sportswear.

“In the process of fusion and genetic melt down, the patterns and fabrics are mixed for a perfect juxtaposition: tracksuits lined like tailored jackets, cropped varsity jackets worn over skirts, and elastic ribbed knit dresses and cropped knit tops in red, worn as layering pieces are the sole pops of color. The essence lies in the skillful use of volumes and materials. Volumetric games between the outerwear and trousers, in a contrast between over and fitted and vice versa. Volumes possible with a choice of contemporary Italian and Japanese fabrics with sartorial references such as fresco wool with the fluid hand of jersey. In order to enhance the volumetric contracts, the chromatic choice is essential: white, black and two shades of gray with the inclusion of red in some product categories, to break the rhythm.” – from VI?EN
