The new “Less & More” Fall Winter 24 collection by MAITREPIERRE explores the concept of duality, reflecting the complexities of our contemporary world where virtual and physical reality intersect. Photographer Junri Kamiwaki captured an exclusive backstage glimpse at the show, exclusively for DSCENE Magazine.
BACKSTAGE
In the Fall Winter 2024-2025 collection, MAITREPIERRE draws inspiration from video game aesthetics, collaborating with New York visual artist Gracelee Lawrence to create original designs using GMO corn residues. These pop-colored sculptures introduce a playful and offbeat element, featuring characters reminiscent of a digital world. By challenging notions of filters, reality, and the role of clothing, these portable sculptures serve as totems within a hybrid collection, fostering a dialogue between fashion and art.
