Berlin-based gallery Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler (KTZ) is set to make its mark in Munich with the opening of a new space at Türkenstraße 43. The inaugural exhibition, launching on January 15, 2025, will feature works by Klára Hosnedlová and Anna Uddenberg in the main gallery, while the showroom will present pieces by Brook Hsu.
ART
Klára Hosnedlová brings her signature exploration of modernist design and Eastern European collective histories. Her narrative-driven installations evoke nostalgia and engage with iconic architectural sites like the Ještěd Tower. Hosnedlová’s work is rooted in the tension between reflection and longing, creating spaces that bridge the past and present.
Anna Uddenberg interrogates the intersections of consumer culture, body politics, and technology. Her sculptures confront feminine identity and self-staging in the digital age, blending materiality with performative commentary on class, gender, and taste.
Brook Hsu weaves mythopoetic and autobiographical elements into her paintings and sculptures. Drawing from personal experiences and cultural sources like art history and literature, Hsu’s work blurs the line between abstraction and figuration, exploring themes of love, pain, and existential humor.
Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler’s new Munich location promises to enrich the city’s vibrant art scene. The gallery’s first presentation aligns with Eccentric: Aesthetics of Freedom, currently on view at Pinakothek der Moderne, featuring works by both Hosnedlová and Uddenberg.
The opening reception will take place on January 15, from 6 to 8 pm. Starting this date, Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler Munich will host regular exhibitions in its new space, further expanding its presence in Germany.
