Temperley London ’s FW25 collection, “La Victoire,” is a grand exploration of the Napoleonic era, merging historical opulence and contemporary refinement. The collection draws inspiration from the early 1800s, channeling the lavish uniforms, intricate regalia, and time-honored craftsmanship that defined the period. With a rich palette of military greens, deep reds, and imperial blues, the collection tells a story of power, legacy, and artistry, elevated by ornate embroidery, hand-painted motifs, and jacquard weaves.

At the heart of the collection is the Anniversary Story, celebrating 25 years of Temperley London with a bespoke Toile de Jouy print. This design represents the brand’s own history, incorporating symbols from Alice Temperley’s Somerset heritage and their dedication to craftsmanship. The Francis Story further deepens this dialogue with history, reviving archival jacquard textiles across structured tailoring, textured knitwear, and washed denim, giving classic elements a contemporary relevance.

Temperley’s signature attention to print and embellishment shines in the Victory Story, where the T-logo is woven into rich jacquard textures. This understated approach to branding embraces heritage while introducing a fresh, elevated perspective. Meanwhile, the Valour Story adapts sharp tailoring with color-blocking reminiscent of military uniforms, balancing precision with the fluid elegance that defines the brand.

As the collection transitions into eveningwear, the Gloriette Story brings 19th-century aristocratic influences into the present with hand-drawn medal prints translated onto silk satin. These intricate designs capture the grandeur of historic embellishment while maintaining a modern ease in draping and movement. The Reina Story explores gothic romance, with rich velvets and intricate detailing evoking the regality of court dress, while the Lynx Story embraces bold glamour through Leopard Velvet Jacquard, adding texture and an untamed edge.

Rounding out the collection, the Gallantry Story modernizes 19th-century embroidery traditions, employing elaborate embellishment techniques for high-impact designs, while the Genevieve Story focuses on sculptural draping and fluid silhouettes inspired by the era’s most romantic muses.

“La Victoire has been a labor of love, and my whole team has worked so hard to make this happen. We are presenting complete White and Black collections as we embark on a new era. It’s been a journey these last 25 years, and I can happily say about this collection that I want it all,” says Alice Temperley MBE. With FW25, Temperley London proves that history’s influence on fashion remains as powerful as ever, crafting a collection that embraces elegance and purpose.
