Richard Mille and Ferrari continue their creative partnership with the RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari, an advanced new timepiece that evolves the tourbillon split-second chronograph concept. Following the 2022 RM UP-01 Ultraflat Ferrari, the latest release takes design and technical execution to a new level, with clear influence from Ferrari’s racing DNA and engineering ethos.

Ferrari’s Centro Stile shaped the visual direction of the RM 43-01. They brought in elements that mirror the interior and performance design cues found in Ferrari’s Purosangue, including details on the crown, hands, and strap. These features reflect the shape and form of the SUV’s seats, delivering both aesthetic and ergonomic intent. A sculpted titanium baseplate reveals the watch’s open architecture, and an engraved Prancing Horse sits boldly at its center, nodding to the rear wing of the 499P. The surfaces, treated with microblasting and satin-finishing, meet polished bevels with expert control, showcasing Richard Mille’s engineering precision.
The watch channels mechanical references drawn directly from Ferrari’s engine design. Angular shapes and raised contours on the movement reflect the structure of engine blocks and crankcases. Finishes vary in texture and tone, while golden hexagonal screws add contrast and attitude. Every detail contributes to a watch that shares design cues with the industrial mastery found under Ferrari hoods.
Inside, the barrel jewel setting takes influence from a V8 engine’s clutch wheel, reinforcing the timepiece’s link to automotive mechanics. The case design and pushers draw cues from Ferrari’s high-performance models, including the 488 Challenge Evo and SF90 Stradale. A skeletonized 30-minute totalizer stands out on the dial, positioned like a tachometer on a racing dashboard, pulling the eye into the display’s three-dimensional depth.
The RM 43-01 doesn’t stop at aesthetics. The tourbillon-equipped movement, developed in partnership with Audemars Piguet Le Locle, integrates a 70-hour power reserve, torque indicator, and off-center escapement. These features support both high performance and long-term reliability. The team fine-tuned the movement to reduce energy consumption while increasing resistance to wear, adding technical substance to the design-led watch.
Limited to 75 pieces per version, the RM 43-01 comes in two case materials: microblasted titanium and Carbon TPT. The titanium variant brings in a refined, elegant edge, a nod to the measured confidence of a gentleman driver. The Carbon TPT model offers a more aggressive visual presence, built for those who prefer their speed with a sharper bite. These two approaches mirror Ferrari’s own Formula One representation in 2025, through drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
