Rolls-Royce introduces the Black Badge Cullinan Daisy, a one-off commission inspired by a client’s connection to the outdoors and a specific hiking trail in the High Tatras mountains. The client, who built a successful career in the adventure equipment sector, drew on a memory of standing in a field of daisies to guide the vision.

The daisy, both delicate and persistent, defines the Cullinan’s identity. It speaks to resilience in unpredictable terrain, an apt metaphor for the client’s personal and professional path. “I envisioned Cullinan Daisy as a symbol of perseverance,” the commissioning client said. “The flower seems to thrive in the face of nature’s challenges, and that balance of strength and serenity informed the entire vision.”

The Cullinan Daisy wears a Powder Blue finish that immediately sets a contemplative tone. A single daisy appears along the Coachline, hand-painted with precision to add subtle character without overwhelming the overall design. The darkened elements typical of the Black Badge identity, the Pantheon Grille, the Spirit of Ecstasy, and exterior detailing, bring contrast and intensity to the otherwise serene palette. This visual language expresses two forces in balance. Softness finds grounding in the confident silhouette of the Cullinan, while restraint gives power to the daisy motif.
Inside, the daisy theme returns in layered form. Rolls-Royce used a sandblasting technique to etch the flower into Blackwood surfaces, specifically on the fascia and waterfall panel between the rear seats. A directed stream of mineral particles removes fine layers of the veneer, producing an uneven texture that interacts with light to create a dimensional surface.

The color palette extends the exterior’s calm tone. Fleet Blue dominates the cabin, appearing on the Rotary Controls and across the B and C pillars. Selby Grey and Black leather complete the scheme, with thoughtful detailing such as Fleet Blue seat piping and Selby Grey monograms on the headrests. Even the illuminated treadplates carry a daisy outline, placed where guests first step inside.

Function meets narrative in the most discreet elements. The umbrellas hidden inside the rear Coach Doors feature the daisy motif on the interior lining, visible only when opened. The effect mimics a daisy field caught in a rainstorm, both elegant and unexpected.

Above, the Starlight Headliner adds a celestial dimension. Rolls-Royce arranged the fiber-optic lights to map four constellations: Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, Gemini, and Taurus. Each was selected for its presence in the northern night sky, creating a literal connection between navigation and introspection.

Rolls-Royce completes the Cullinan Daisy with a Recreation Module, tailored to store the client’s preferred hiking gear. The compartment deploys automatically from the luggage floor and integrates into the design without disrupting the visual composition. It extends the vehicle’s personality from trailhead to city street.
This detail ensures that the Cullinan Daisy doesn’t simply represent a lifestyle, it supports one. Every element, from etched wood to hidden constellations, supports a larger story about movement, growth, and the luxury of purposeful design.

The Cullinan Daisy speaks in quiet contrasts. It pairs textured materials with refined finishes, and emotional cues with technical exactness. “This commission challenged us to explore how natural motifs can be translated through craft,” said Martina Starke, General Manager of Bespoke Design at Rolls-Royce. “We told the client’s story through restrained and thoughtful contrasts.”
