Adidas Originals and Willy Chavarria reveal their Spring Summer 2025 collection, launching in two waves across May and July. This season builds on a design language shaped by motion, identity, and street-level experience. The partnership brings together Chavarria’s sharp tailoring and bold styling with adidas’ technical roots and athletic sensibility, resulting in apparel and footwear that speaks directly to sport and culture.
This collection introduces a wide array of silhouettes for both men and women. The first drop includes Chavarria’s spin on foundational athletic staples, while the second introduces refined updates in new cuts and materials. Together, the two releases present a complete wardrobe that balances graphic power and functional form.

Central to the SS25 release stands the relaunch of the adidas Jabbar sneaker, originally designed in 1978 for basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Chavarria reinterprets this archival model through two new formats: the Chavarria Jabbar Low and the Chavarria Jabbar Dress. Both models pay homage to Abdul-Jabbar’s influence while reintroducing a silhouette that shaped a generation of athletic footwear.
The updated design adds sharp detailing and contemporary proportions, inviting a new generation to connect with adidas’ basketball history through Chavarria’s lens. The shoes serve not only as athletic products, but as visual links to personal memory, legacy, and influence.

Chavarria’s apparel offering continues to expand adidas’ design vocabulary. Standouts from the first drop include the Chicano Sweatshirt, Chavarria Football Jersey, Polo, Track Jacket, Wide Leg Trackpant, Gym Short, Signature T-shirt, and a heavyweight hoodie. Each piece reflects Chavarria’s approach to shape and texture, garments that hold structure, volume, and intention.
July’s drop builds on this with additions such as the Poplin Trackpant and Top, a Basketball Jersey, and new iterations of the Gym Short. The styling remains consistent: sculpted silhouettes with clarity in color and detail. Chavarria’s garments move with purpose and frame the body in ways that draw attention without relying on excess.

Carlos Jaramillo photographs the SS25 campaign in South Central Los Angeles, focusing on stories that reflect generational care, love, and strength. The visuals center on individuals with roots in Chicano culture, including adidas athletes Candace Parker and Skyy Clark, as well as actor Alejandro Speitzer.
Each image balances style and narrative, drawing from shared experiences and lived memories. Jaramillo’s point of view, shaped by his own background as a Mexican photographer in Los Angeles, anchors the shoot in emotional authenticity.

Chavarria, who grew up wearing adidas, builds the campaign around people who carry the same history. “It allowed me to capture the beauty of our Brown brothers and sisters against the backdrop that is home to so many of us,” he said. The result reflects a creative process shaped by personal connection, rather than commercial distance.
Adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria SS25 becomes available starting May 8th through select adidas stores, the CONFIRMED app, willychavarria.com, adidas.com/willy_chavarria, and select retailers. The second drop arrives July 10th, expanding the collection with new apparel pieces.
