Hublot introduces the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, a 44mm special edition that draws directly from New York City’s industrial texture and architectural grit. The release marks the third chapter in Hublot’s Concrete Jungle series and celebrates the relocation of the brand’s flagship boutique to Fifth Avenue. With a case crafted from the same concrete material used on the new store facade, the timepiece channels a deep connection to the city’s design culture and energy.
WATCHES
Concrete, long associated with brutalism and large-scale infrastructure, has emerged as a material of high design. In the hands of artists and engineers, its rough utility has evolved into a canvas for texture, tonal control, and structure. Hublot applies that evolution to watchmaking, shaping the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle with a hardened material and the accuracy of Swiss engineering.

Julien Tornare, CEO of Hublot, explains the concept clearly: “Concrete has long been misunderstood as cold and industrial, but in the world of high design, it has become something else entirely – tactile, refined, even expressive. With the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, this timepiece captures the raw energy of New York and the precision of Swiss watchmaking. This timepiece is dedicated to our new New York Boutique and is crafted from the same material as our new Fifth Avenue boutique’s façade.”
The new Big Bang MECA-10 features a polished and micro-blasted titanium structure, measuring 15.3mm thick and water-resistant to 50 meters. H-shaped screws frame the case, matched with a satin-finished titanium crown over molded black rubber. The combination grounds the watch in technical rigor while referencing the durability of city infrastructure.

Inside, the HUB1201 movement powers the piece. Designed and built entirely by Hublot, this in-house mechanism operates with a 10-day power reserve and uses 223 hand-assembled components. Each piece, from the perforated metallic strips to the ratchet wheels, works together to keep the watch running at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour). Twin barrels drive the energy, and a red-marked rack-and-pinion indicator shows the remaining power at a glance. The open-worked movement offers a view of the mechanics in motion, exposing the structure like a brutalist building stripped of ornament.
This special edition follows two earlier Concrete Jungle releases: the Big Bang from 2016 and the Classic Fusion from 2020. Together, the trio forms a design arc dedicated to the city. With the newest version, Hublot brings the series full circle by tying the material identity of the watch to the physical space of the Fifth Avenue boutique. The boutique itself introduces a new architectural language for Hublot’s retail presence, clad in concrete and black brushed aluminum, it echoes the design cues of the timepiece inside.

Each Concrete Jungle MECA-10 comes with two interchangeable straps. The first features a grey fabric finish and Velcro closure. The second uses Hublot’s signature black lined rubber. Both connect through the “One Click” system, allowing the wearer to switch looks without tools. The watch arrives in a special Hublot Green box, custom-printed with a stylized illustration of the New York City skyline. This collector’s edition packaging remains exclusive to the Concrete Jungle MECA-10.
