adidas Originals and Bad Bunny will release the Gazelle Cabo Rojo globally on July 26. The sneaker, part of the Gazelle City Series, debuted earlier this month as a Puerto Rico exclusive during the opening weekend of Bad Bunny’s Residency, “No me quiero ir de aquí.” Global access began today with signups opening on the CONFIRMED app.
The Gazelle City Series takes shape through three colorways, each tied to a specific location in Puerto Rico. The series reflects Bad Bunny’s deep connection to the island and its cultural significance. While the El Yunque and Santurce editions remain available only in Puerto Rico, the Bad Bunny Cabo Rojo version extends the collection’s reach.

Cabo Rojo’s distinctive pink waters, caused by salt-loving microorganisms in the region’s famous salt flats, serve as the main reference point for the sneaker’s vivid colorway. The design channels this rare natural feature with a bright pink upper that grounds the shoe in the place it celebrates.
The campaign for Gazelle Cabo Rojo features Puerto Rican elders who carry the region’s histories. Their presence in the visuals strengthens the sneaker’s ties to local tradition and memory. The casting also reflects the message of Bad Bunny’s Residency, which centers on a desire to stay close to home and honor those who built its culture.

The earlier City Series releases introduced two other facets of Puerto Rican identity. El Yunque appears in deep green, referencing the tropical rainforest that forms part of the U.S. National Forest System. Santurce comes in vibrant orange, paying homage to the neighborhood’s creative energy in music, dance, and art. All three colorways, released as part of the Bad Bunny shoes lineup, debuted during the Residency’s launch.
As the official sponsor of “No me quiero ir de aquí,” adidas Originals continues its partnership with Bad Bunny through storytelling rooted in place. The Gazelle Cabo Rojo now brings that story beyond the island, while keeping the design grounded in the visual and cultural textures of Puerto Rico.
