The new sneaker arrives as a tribute to the creative exchange between the brand and the artist, reflecting how the collaboration has grown since its 2021 debut.
The Adizero SL 72 takes direct inspiration from what the partners call the “nostalgic trio,” a reference to three Forum releases that shaped the early identity of their work together. The First Café, Easter Egg Pink, and Baby Blue designs return here in a combined colorway that speaks to Bad Bunny’s approach to memory, influence, and reinvention. The shoe preserves the essence of these formative releases while moving the collaboration into its next chapter.
The connection between past and present was introduced during adidas para Bad Bunny: The Archive, where the Adizero SL 72 first appeared. The project framed the sneaker as a continuation of the story that began with the Forum line. Each reference brings with it a piece of Bad Bunny’s personal history with the brand and with his fans, reminding audiences of the cultural moments that have accompanied his rise.
Each of the three Forums played a role in setting the tone for the collaboration. First Café, released in March 2021, was inspired by the cup of coffee that begins the artist’s routine, reinterpreted in brown leather. A month later, Easter Egg Pink carried tonal pink leather into the collection, turning a seasonal shade into a symbol of creative freedom. In August 2022, Baby Blue shifted the focus to summer, with a bright sky-inspired palette that evoked La Isla and the global resonance of Benito’s music.
