Patricio Campillo unveiled his Spring Summer 2026 collection, “Repetición,” in New York City. Against Manhattan’s skyline, the runway introduced an exploration of repetition as ritual, renewal, and cultural continuity. Photographer Katie Borrazzo captured the energy behind the scenes at the Campillo Spring Summer 2026 show, exclusively for DSCENE Magazine.
The designer translated this theme into garments that honored Mexican heritage while asserting a modern vocabulary. In-house knits crafted by interlacing fabric strips reinterpreted traditional basketry with a brutalist sensibility. Hand-stitching defined new architectural silhouettes, shifting sewing from surface embellishment into structural design.

Collaboration played a defining role this season. Campillo partnered with textile artisans and studios to incorporate traditional techniques into his framework. Saualli Textil contributed loom-woven cotton and palm leaf textiles, while Maison Fevrier by Máxime Leroy produced feather corsets and suede covers in Paris. Accessories made from agave fiber by 86nudos Studio, created in partnership with Don Julio, emphasized natural materials and cultural synergy.
Charro tailoring, central to Campillo’s aesthetic, appeared reimagined through cropped jackets, sharp shoulders, and elongated trousers. These silhouettes projected strength while maintaining artisanal precision. The designer’s collaboration with Don Julio further deepened this season’s material narrative, as natural agave fibers and cotton thread shaped garments that reflected sustainability and craft.

The collection also brought together diverse artisanal practices from across Mexico. Hamacas Mexicanas supplied handwoven hammocks, Carlos Andrés Sánchez contributed traditional silversmithing, and Elena Valdez of E7 Studio applied natural dyeing and rusting methods. Jerónimo Martínez Victoriano and Alfonso José García worked pedal looms to produce speckled textiles curated by Natalia Ramírez.
