JW Anderson Spring Summer 2027 begins with curation as Jonathan Anderson’s main creative tool. The collection brings process, people, and handwork into focus, building a wardrobe through the individuals and objects that surround his creative world. Shot by Heikki Kaski, the lookbook gathers close friends and collaborators whose work spans writing, ceramics, acting, collecting, and gardening.
SPRING SUMMER 2027
Anderson continues to explore garments that feel shaped by touch and use. Draped evening wear appears pinched in a single gesture. Japanese denim jeans look repaired many times over. Loose camisoles sit as if they have slipped from the shoulder. Boxy utilitarian jackets keep a direct attitude and look ready to throw on.

The fold-over trouser and twist jean appear in fresh fabrications, while large silhouettes give several looks a strong graphic weight. Donegal wool becomes deep green sweaters decorated with wildflowers and ferns, adding a playful note to sturdy knitwear. Anderson often turns function into play, and the Squirrel Clutch, paired with crocheted nuts, pushes that idea into object form.
Muted earth tones run through the collection, joined by brighter moments such as a vivid orange hare knit. The House knit takes inspiration from a traditional Irish cottage. The Squirrel Knit pattern draws from a Scottish Fair Isle knitting pattern from Sanquhar. Johnstons of Elgin collaborates on a show-piece coat and scarf in bold red and blue, bringing Scottish wool into the season’s material language.

Workwear also gives structure to the accessories. New pouch, duffel, and hobo bags use functional pockets that wrap around their forms. Their stripes draw from rugby shirt colors, including pale pink, green, and blue.
The seasonal offering also moves into home and garden objects. Handcrafted Mackintosh stools sit alongside vintage linens dyed with natural pigments and repurposed into cushions. Wedgwood forms mugs inspired by ancient Etruscan pottery. Irish linen tea towels carry the words WOW, FAB, and CHIC. A specially cast sleigh bell by the John Taylor Bell Foundry rings out as the foundry’s first sleigh bell in more than 100 years, made with an archival mould. JW Anderson also presents hampers with Eddie Glew, handmade from British willow and leather work. Wind chimes by Cerith Wyn Evans and JW Anderson x Sunbeam Jackie parasols in vintage fabrics expand the collection’s world further.

The cast includes noted art collector Ivor Braka, Japanese ceramicist Akiko Hirai, actor and model Dree Hemingway, and writer and academic Dr James Fox, all making their first appearances for the brand. Spring Summer 2027 turns clothing, objects, and people into a curated study of making, where garments sit naturally among tools, textiles, domestic pieces, and creative lives.
