McQueen introduces its Autumn Winter 2026 campaign through Glen Luchford‘s dark cinematic language. Supermodels Karen Elson, Paloma Elsesser, Jacqui Hooper and Xiao Wen lead the cast, each bringing a direct gaze and distinct character to the images and film. In charge of creative direction was Seán McGirr, with art direction by SJ Todd and styling by Camille Bidault-Waddington. Gideon Ponte created the set design, while Julia Lange handled casting direction and Farago Projects managed production. The beauty team included hair stylist Anthony Turner, makeup artist Daniel Sallstrom, and manicurist Ama Quashie. The campaign examines the conflict between private feeling and public appearance, tracing the distance between a curated facade and the visceral reality beneath it.
Luchford lets the fourth wall slip as the scenes shift from performance toward tactile impulse. Desire, sexuality and strength guide the film, while the cast carries the psychological tension through expression, posture and contact with the clothes. Karen Elson brings a long connection with McQueen to the project, while Elsesser, Hooper and Xiao Wen connect the house’s past with its current chapter under creative director Seán McGirr.
The campaign draws on sound, cinema and theatrical image making to frame McQueen’s established codes. Noir lighting deepens the sense of darkness and beauty, while Luchford’s direction gives each scene an intimate dramatic charge. The imagery keeps attention on character and material, allowing tailoring, silk, lace, organza and embroidery to shape the atmosphere.
Savile Row informs the sharply cut jackets and shirting throughout the Autumn Winter 2026 collection. The collection pairs these strict lines with sculptural evening silhouettes in fluid silk georgette. Structured silk mikado creates firmer forms, while wallpaper floral prints and crushed floral jacquards bring dense surface detail. Trompe l’oeil feather embroideries and ornate lace draw the eye toward texture and construction.
McQueen layers floral lace between sheets of featherlight organza to create dresses with depth and lightness. The garments explore tension through weight, transparency and surface. Sharply defined tailoring meets softer fabrics, while intricate embroidery brings visual and tactile richness to the collection.
Accessories carry the same seasonal treatment. The Soft Knuckle Clutch, Jewelled Top Handle and Locke Bag feature rich finishes and distinctive metal hardware. The angular Niko boots extend the collection’s sculptural language through footwear.
