
HBO confirms production has started on Season 4 of The White Lotus, the Emmy-winning series created by Mike White. Filming takes place on the French Riviera, with locations including Cannes, St. Tropez, and Monaco. The production also includes scenes in Paris, though the story remains focused on the Côte d’Azur.

The new season follows a fresh group of hotel guests and employees over the course of one week. The narrative unfolds during the Cannes Film Festival, placing the series within one of the most prominent events on the international film calendar.
The cast for Season 4 brings together a wide group of actors. Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, and Nadia Tereszkiewicz appear in leading roles. The additional cast includes Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Max Greenfield, Frida Gustavsson, Charlie Hall, Jarrad Paul, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, and Laura Smet.

The production uses two primary hotel locations for the new season. Airelles Château de la Messardière appears as the White Lotus du Cap, while Hôtel Martinez appears as the White Lotus Cannes. These properties provide the central setting for the interactions between guests and staff, maintaining the structure that defines the series.
Mike White continues to lead the project as creator, writer, and director. He also serves as executive producer alongside David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
The Season 3 finale reached 6.2 million U.S. cross-platform viewers, setting a record for the series and surpassing the previous episode by 30 percent. The episode recorded a 51 percent increase compared to the Season 2 finale, which drew 4.1 million viewers, and delivered 2.5 times growth from the Season 3 debut, which opened at 2.4 million viewers. Throughout Season 3, The White Lotus ranked as the number one title on Max each week, both in the United States and globally, setting a high benchmark ahead of the next chapter.
