KATSEYE has released the official trailer for KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a new documentary that follows the global girl group through the experiences that shaped its formation and rapid rise. The film arrives on August 12, two days before KATSEYE releases its third EP, WILD, on August 14.

Created as a companion to the upcoming record, WILD HEARTS gives fans a closer view of the group’s development from trainees into one of pop’s fastest-growing acts. Nadia Hallgren directs the documentary, while Interscope Films and Boardwalk Pictures handle production. The team previously worked on Netflix’s Pop Star Academy, which documented the process behind the creation of KATSEYE.
The new film returns to the Dream Academy selection process, where the members competed for places in the final lineup. WILD HEARTS examines the pressure surrounding the program and the demands placed on the performers as they worked toward their debut. The documentary follows the challenges, sacrifices and formative experiences that defined the group before its international breakthrough.
KATSEYE consists of Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae. Their formation introduced a group designed around members from different cultural backgrounds, with the Dream Academy process drawing widespread attention from viewers around the globe. WILD HEARTS revisits that period through new footage and a more intimate account of the relationships and decisions that shaped the six-member lineup.
The documentary also explores KATSEYE’s viral rise after debut. The group quickly developed a large online following, turning its music, choreography and individual members into recurring subjects across social platforms. WILD HEARTS examines the transition from an intensive training environment into public life, where every release and performance reached a rapidly growing international audience.
The film gives particular attention to the group’s fandom, known as EYEKONS. Their support helped drive KATSEYE’s visibility during the group’s early releases and contributed to its expansion beyond the audience that first encountered the members through Dream Academy. The documentary treats that relationship as a central part of the group’s growth, connecting the members’ private work with the public response surrounding their music.
August now brings two closely connected releases from KATSEYE. WILD HEARTS introduces the personal and professional experiences behind the group, while WILD begins its next musical chapter only two days later. The paired rollout gives fans a documentary account of the past alongside new material that defines the group’s current direction.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS premieres on August 12, followed by the release of WILD on August 14.
