Ermanno Scervino presented Fall Winter 2016 womenswear collection during the Milano Fashion Week. Mosaic references are the key to the collection, featuring mixture of masculine suits and hyper-feminine dresses.
FALL WINTER 2016 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTIONS
The couture vision of Ermanno Scervino bursts into the everyday life, expressing an aesthetic that looks at the world of the Arts. Masculine and feminine dialogues interact, without confusion: the woman chooses a new uniform to emphasize her femininity. The handcraftsmanship is the unique protagonist of the collection. Pictorial suggestions for macramé-petit damier, engraved and overlapped. Delicate references to the mosaics are transformed into coats and masculine suits or in impalpable dresses, hyper-feminine, in gold metallic shades, silver and bronze. Millefeuille lace becomes pleated, thick, draped, built on the body, like the sculptural silhouette. Like an impressionist painting, overlapping strokes of color/non-color create a three-dimensional movement on dresses and tops. A wave of Victorian Gothic, for dresses, coats and total black looks. The waistline is highlighted, the details are precious: lingerie-inspired, multicolor fur finishing on collars and lapels, Art Nouveau floreal motifs. Must-have: the fox helmet. The colors: black, burned, shades of gray, touches of yellow and bordeaux, color/non-color and metallic tones. – from Ermanno Scervino
