Designers Rebecca Henry and Akua Shabaka presented HOUSE OF AAMA Fall Winter 2022.23 Womenswear Collection during the ongoing New York Fashion Week. For this season, designers creative process was looking into the past and seeing how it informs the future. The collection was inspired by Henry’s ancestors in Louisiana and their traditions, a blend of Catholicism and Hoodoo and Voodoo practices. The brand also ventures into a more Gen Z styles like wrap skirts and bra tops.
